She groaned lowly. He was tough.

She smiled, taking the other half into her small jaws.

He didn't wake up for a very long time.

She stayed with him, only leaving to get food for the hatchling.

It had been two days and he hadn't budged.

Thunder brought her a carcass and laid beside her, tilting his head and cracking his neck.

He purred and nuzzled her.

She whimpered, the little gold hatchling cried out for food, but the dragoness couldn't leave again... The other eggs weren't hatched yet and her mate wasn't awake... She was lost without him, she sighed, standing and leaving the cave, covering it back up and trying to find food.
